At the two stores I shop, I am always asked, paper or plastic, although I get a sense most baggers prefer to use plastic — not sure if that’s directed by management?

I do have four cloth bags that I almost always remember to bring for major shopping trips and I see many others using cloth also. We are slow to change, right? One store gives a tiny discount if you bring your own bags.

Just to make this conversation more interesting, what about charity organizations?

Many of them now play the “how much money can we make” game, too — storing cash in endowments. Any thoughts on that?
