Sometimes when I feel like society’s norms smell like dead fish, I freeze. I perseverate. I simply avoid doing what everybody else is doing because I don’t like it.

It does not sit well with me.

I find myself in a quandary — a quarry. I sit at the bottom of a pit — like a resistant toddler refusing to budge — until the last minute when push comes to shove.
