Nope — not misinterpreting. From my experience though, the right teacher is key — and that can be different for everyone. I found that exercise oriented teachers were not a good fit for me. I craved the stories, the breath work and measured movements with a focus on alignment. It was a lot of try — try again. Now that I have figured out what works for me, I can attend other teacher’s classes, but do not always follow their instruction — a rebel.;) Any good yoga teacher would understand that.
