Where Are All My Blogs?

For the past 5 years, I have been writing a blog, mostly for myself to remember my trips, but also to share with friends, the essence of the various trips that I’ve taken. Not intended to be a tourist guide, it mostly highlighted the exciting interactions of any given trip which th a few paragraphs of entertaining information and a few pictures. Since my husband and I, well, really me, prefers the exotic and out of the ordinary third world countries to explore, my commentary of interactions with local cultures, etc was pretty well received.
And then….Poof! TravelPod, owned by Yahoo, vanished like a overinflated balloon, due to its purchase by Verizon! My blogs, although I was able to save to my hard drive ceased to exist.
I then had to find a replacement Blog vehicle. Not wanting the hassle of creating my own website and domain (my computer savvy, which was significant in 1984, has diminished significantly with the complexity of the web and my receding brain power) I searched and analyzed alternatives. Most recommended was Workpress.com, but after hours of trying to wrap my head around its various options,I gave up and kept searching. Which lead me to Medium, which I hope is a simple and easy to use blog application.
My primary concern is whether I can have a master blog for each trip and subsections for the various locations from which I report on? Or is each story r Blog independent of one another? Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is my first attempt to use this app!
