Do you desire the anointing in your life and ministry? What do you think triggers the anointing?

I’ll share with you a secret here. To answer directly I will say, the anointing is triggered by need. Where there is no need for the anointing, the anointing wouldn’t waste coming. God is aware how powerful the anointing is and how men can easily misuse it, so He created a system to manage it’s use.

A lot of the great ministers we see working in power today would not have been able to grow in the anointing as they do today if not for the people they serve. At the scent of service, the anointing flows. The anointing flows when there is a need in people to serve.

Who then is doing who favor, the minister or the congregation? Both.

Whoever does not understand this may be limited by pride. As people congregate, their needs congregate as well, that’s what activates and inspires the anointing easily.

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick. (Matthew 14:14)

From this one verse story we see need, compassion, and healing power. When there is need, it triggers compassion which then triggers the anointing.

You’re privileged if you’re the one to serve the people. The Bible says, it’s more blessed to give than receive (Acts 20:35).

It is in service that we find our calling and our purpose to serve others. People who don’t serve will never know their target in life, this is because we all were created to serve one another.

It is better to be used than to be useless, you’re useless when you don’t serve. People who are not willing to serve should not desire the anointing, because it is the doorway to the anointing.

Service is the deepest level of life; even worship, we can’t access without the spirit of service.

So today, find someone and somewhere to serve in love to activate your anointing. Start little, from where you’re and see how the anointing will find expression.
