There’s huge differences. Wealthy people worry about issues that inconvenience them — they still have their homes and their money. Poor people worry about being displaced (losing their home) because they can no longer afford groceries in the area, they lose their businesses to newer ones that can cater to wealthier residents and pay more commercial rent, etc. Don’t trivialize concern about displacement — fundamentally very different than parking concerns.
You can call me a NIMBY all you want — I think low-income/PoC neighborhoods should probably accept some new market-rate housing, but the vast bulk needs to go to areas with low risk of displacement.
