This is the positive case, but I think it’s naive to believe this technology will exclusively improve the world.
This reads much like a treatise on the internet in 1995. The internet DID do amazing things to democratize the world, but it also allowed China to monitor citizens more closely than ever before and scammers to reach around the world.
It would seem to me these specific conundrums will be pushed elsewhere. Computers are hackable, so while the system may be 100% correct, you can still forge a vote if you steal a key or steal a remittance if you have a backdoor.
Systems tend to be a product of their creators and their users.
