We all know that the millennial generation became the main consumer group lately. So how does one attract the attention of these gamers and get them interested in online gambling? In other words, what will the next big thing in gambling be?

The answer to this question is VR casinos! Today this is more of an experiment than a ready-to-use product. Some online casinos are just testing their own VR platforms, trying to include this technology into the gaming process. However, there’s a big chance that this technology might become a breakthrough in the Gambling industry!

For instance, one of the casinos presents players with a casino lobby on a skyscraper’s 80th floor, where they can play a number of immersive 3D slots titles while socializing with fellow players. Good music, graphics and animations only attract new players, especially those who are keen on new technologies.

VR casinos are completely new phenomena on the market so at the moment they don’t have a big community and need more time to become really popular and well-known. Moreover, casinos should think about some obstacles that can impede the adoption of technology by an average player. In the first place, it requires the use of a gadget — VR goggles and fast PC. This, in turn, requires additional investment and some tech-savvyness from the user. Maybe it makes sense to think about integration with huge VR-friendly services.

It all shows that the first VR online casino players will indeed be Generation Y representatives. However, it is still too early to talk about the positioning of the VR technology: will this be the main way to play a casino or some sort of a gimmick. Besides, maybe this technology will become specific to a particular niche in gambling. Who knows…?
