The excitement. The football. The emotion.

Hearts were racing. Eyes were crying. Legs were aching.

Today I witnessed a significant event. The Greywolf once again caught the Eagle. Today, the action packed game took place. It was El Classico. Don Bosco Technology Center against Sacred Heart School — Ateneo De Cebu. Hundreds of fans supported their team. The game everyone will be talking about for months? We won it.

In the first half of the game, Ateneo scored a penalty which was awarded by the referee. The Bosconians’ hope of winning the game suddenly vanished into thin air. With Ateneo dominating the whole of the first half, it seemed like they were about to win. Hearts were shattered. With Ateneo cheering for their dear team, the Bosconians were silent.

The second half started. Don Bosco’s players were upbeat. They were encouraged. It must have been something Coach Ramos said to them. It was a miracle. We now had hope. Then my classmate, Jon Reña dribbled the ball into the Atenista side. Bam! A penalty! We scored through the effort of the Team Captain, Moiselle Alforque. The whole Don Bosco crowd, swept off their feet! Then minutes later, Jon Reña (jersey #28) scored to give DBTC a 1 goal lead! EVERYONE WAS SHOUTING! Accompanied by the deafening music generated by our very own Drum and Bugle Corps, the feeling we felt was indescribable! I cried tears of joy.

Don Bosco controlled the second half with an iron fist. There were a lot of chances to score. But sadly, none of them ever hit the net.

Then, the final whistle. Everyone ran into the field, hugged the players, celebrated. It was like, woah!

I took a quick snap of my classmates who played!

And I swear, at that moment, we owned the world.

Our class adviser was there too! 9-Versiglia’s represent! HAHA!

But the spotlight goes to this team.

We all had better days, but today was one for the books! Proud Bosconian!
