I would check your privilege on this topic as well. For all you may know, Scott could have a better grasp then anyone else on trans issues.
Just because someone identifies as a cis white male, does not mean they cannot hold an open mind towards the problems of trans. They, unlike you, could have someone who actually has died because of being trans. Progress is stifled when one party chooses to hold themselves higher than another, and talk down. Just because white males have done this in the past does not fully justify doing it to them now. Especially when they are taking the same stand as you are.
I am not looking to argue with you on this topic. I very much agree with everything you have had to say. But you may have noticed that I have yet to mention what I identify. Honestly, I would prefer you not to know. Identification is not the problem here, it is the acceptance. Grossly making an assumption on someone based from their picture, or name, only works against you.
