WoW Classic’s Season of Mastery is moving along into its next phase, and with it comes a multitude of lucrative opportunities for players who know where to look. Today, we’ll be exploring some of the most profitable quest items you can earn during this phase to help you make sure you’re capitalizing on them and enhancing your gameplay.

Nifty Stopwatch: A Must Have Trinket
The Nifty Stopwatch is one of the most prized trinkets in WoW Classic. Not only is it one of the earliest trinkets players can get their hands on, but it has been known to have utility like no other by providing a massive speed boost equal to that of a Swiftness Potion with a 30-minute cooldown. To acquire this nifty item, you will need to complete a quest chain in Badlands which sits between Kargath and Angor Fortress. The chain will consist of various goblin and dwarf tasks that are fairly easy to complete.

Essential Items for the Stopwatch Quest
To successfully complete the quest for the Nifty Stopwatch, you will need two items: a Gyrochronatom (usually referred to as a “gyro” for short) and Frost Oil. Additionally, players should consider picking up a Healing Potion, Lesser Invisibility Potion and the Pattern: Bronze Bracers if they are around level 35 looking for quick experience or wow sod gold.

Frost Oil Recipe: Alchemy’s Golden Ticket
Frost Oil isn’t just required for the Nifty Stopwatch quest; it’s also a hot item itself. Alchemists who have reached skill level 200 can craft this highly sought after item. The recipe for Frost Oil is sold by a vendor located in Alterac Mountains near the spirit healer. Although rumors suggest that this vendor may have been removed from the game, the recipe still remains as a best seller. By investing in this recipe, alchemists can either use Frost Oil for themselves or put it up on the auction house for a profit.

Gyrochronatom: Engineering’s Contribution
For those of you who are looking to obtain a Gyrochronatom, there are two different ways: craft one yourself with 170 Engineering skill using an Iron Bar and a Gold Power Core, or buy one from an Engineering Supplies vendor. A popular vendor location is in Booty Bay at the Port Authority. Although gyros are required for the quest, they also have value on their own making them a worthy investment for resale.

Profitable Sales on the Auction House
Both Frost Oil and Gyrochronatoms can be sold for quite a high price on the auction house. For example, Gyrochronatoms are currently being sold for around 44 silver each. Given that they can be purchased cheaper through vendors, smart traders could potentially buy them out and relist them for a higher price.

Additional Quests and Items to Consider
Outside of the Nifty Stopwatch quest line, there are other quests to consider with items like Buzzard Wings which make Barbecued Buzzard Wings that grant 8 Stamina and 8 Spirit. However, as the game progresses further players will have access to better food options offering 12 Stamina and 12 Spirit as well as Mana per 5 food with Sagefish Delight.

All in all, Phase 2 of WoW Classic’s Season of Mastery is going to be making a lot of gold and valuable items through questing. That Nifty Stopwatch and the Frost Oil recipe are two great examples of making this a profitable venture. Keep an eye out for them and plan accordingly to maximize your gains.
