I agree with the other answer that trading with multiple villagers will yield the best results, but there are some that are more profitable than others.

Farmers — Having a farm with the material they trade for can lead to a large supply of emeralds, until they stop offering that trade.

Stone Mason — If you do a lot of mining, or live near clay deposits, these are an easy bunch to trade. They also carry some of the “junkier” minerals, such as diorite.

Librarian — set up a sugarcane farm, and boom- infinite paper supply.

Fletcher — Trading Stick for Emerald? It doesn’t get any easier than that.

Clerics — They often trade in rotten meat. I mean, come on-what else are you going to use this for?

Shepherd — If you have a sheep farm, these are incredibly easy to do business with. Their first trading set is usually just wool to emerald. I do a lot of business with shepherds in my fanatical world.

What is the best villager to get emeralds from?

There are a lot of villagers who have big trades, but if you can pick just one, Fletcher is definitely the best one to get tons of emeralds! They will buy sticks, strings and feathers, all of which are easily farmed automatically! And the more different trades you do with a villager, the more he will lower his prices.

If you find Fletcher selling vulnerabilities arrows, you can also use them to heal zombie villagers, who will then cost you significantly less for the rest of your life and promote the thing to your allies.

Fletchers and the Cartographer

First take a Weakness Splash potion and a golden apple. Find a zombie villager, and get it into a 2×2 area with a bed. Throw the Weakness Splash potion, and press the Use key. (This is usually a right click). Wait for the cube to heal. Once they are fixed, get the work section and put it to them. If they trade glass panes or sticks, trade with them once to lock them.

By doing this, you can get a villager who trades 1 glass pane for an emerald. This is by far the best way whether you have a sand duper or be near a desert.

If you have a tree or bamboo farm, or live near a forest, do the same thing, but place a fletching table.

That’s how I’m going to get a lot of pages.

I personally like:

Librarian: As said, use the sugarcane field to make sugarcane, which you can make into paper and sell for emeralds.

Fletchers: If you get into the woods you can get a ton of blackjack to trade. If you can find bamboo, just plant a few at your base and plant the bamboo in the field, which can be made into wood. Plus, the great thing about Fletchers is that they buy feathers.

If you have an automated chicken farm (which is easy to build), you get wings as well as chicken, which you can sell instead of throwing away.

Fisherman: If you love fishing AFK, you can sell all your catch to them for a profit. This is a little harder to do than the above two, but it is a good way to get rid of tropical fish and pufferfish.

I will set up a chicken farm for this method of making panna. Why Chicken Farm? Since chickens lay eggs, you can throw eggs to produce more chickens. You can also feed them seeds. Thus, the hen is the only horde that can breed twice as fast as any other horde because it has two modes of reproduction.

Similarly, if you keep laying eggs and feeding them seeds, you can get a thousand chickens in a very short time. Speaking of seeds, you also need a wheat field, which is quite simple to make.

When you reach your desired amount of chickens in a closed area, whip up your sword and kill most of them, leaving some to breed and lay eggs. You’ll end up with at least 2–3 piles of raw chicken and wings (with a small ranch).
