super mario odyssey game review
super mario odyssey game review: Super Mario Odyssey is an absolute gem. This is my second favorite Mario game of all time, right behind Super Mario Galaxy 1. This game is the perfect Mario game to match The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild on Switch.
This is an absolutely fun, replayable, exciting and amazing game that everyone should have. Story… Okay, this is a Mario game so I guess you all know what’s going on. Bowser kidnaps Peach and a magical tiara and plans a big wedding with her.
Mario reunites with a cap named Cappy and has to stop the wedding. Unlike Zelda games, the story isn’t really important to me in Mario games, but it’s quite creative in a sense. Odyssey is one such creative Mario game and it takes you to many amazing places around the world. My favorite place was Metro Kingdom, which is literally New York City. The Sand Kingdom and Luncheon Kingdom are wonderful too.
Each location is so open to exploration and there are so many creatures that add so much variety to the gameplay. By this I mean the capture mechanic. By throwing Cappy into any enemy, you take control of them and use them to travel to different regions or collect moons.
This is a great way to shake up the gameplay and make the game so much fun. The controls are incredible. You really feel in control of Mario and honestly if something bad happens, it’s usually your fault and not the camera (Mario 64 anyone?). Now the moon Many of these are adding over 800. As soon as you finish the main campaign, which isn’t that long, there are so many more moons available in the post game.
Some may seem a little uninspired, but most do so many different functions that really add to the variety I mentioned. Boss battles are so much fun because they all never feel the same way and each one has different ways to defeat them.
Now the costumes. No, they don’t offer any benefits, but I had so much fun dressing up Mario with so many costumes. In the end, the graphics in a Mario game have never been better, the frame rate is smooth, and the music is as great as any Mario game.
The only minor problem I have is that the game is a little too easy, lives are gone, so you only lose 10 coins when you die, making it a little easier. Super Mario Odyssey is a must for Switch owners. It shocked me in so many ways that I couldn’t believe I loved Breath of the Wild as much.
I guess I still prefer the Zelda title, but that’s because I prefer action adventure games more than platformers. In fact, it deserves as much praise as Breath of the Wild. It will bring so many smiles on people’s faces that you will play for hours.
This game is the best. i mean its simple and great my friends beat it many times and it never gets old if you don’t like it i do and i hope you like these facts about the game 😉 super Mario Odyssey is a 2017 platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.
An entry in the Super Mario series, it follows Mario and Cappy, a sentient hat that allows Mario to control other characters and objects, as they travel across different kingdoms to rescue Princess Peach from her nemesis Bowser. who plans to forcibly marry her.
Unlike the linear gameplay of prior entries, the game returns to the primarily open-ended, 3D platform gameplay featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. The game was developed by Nintendo’s Entertainment Planning and Development Division, and development began shortly after the release of Super Mario 3D World in 2013.
Various ideas were suggested during development, and to incorporate them all, the team decided to employ a sandbox-style build. Gameplay. Unlike previous installments such as New Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario 3D World, which were aimed at casual audiences, the team designed Super Mario Odyssey to appeal to the series’ core fans.
The game featured a vocal theme song, “Jump Up, Superstar!” Also included, which is a first for the series. Super Mario Odyssey received praise from critics who called it one of the best games in the series, with particular praise for its inventiveness and originality.
It also won several awards, including Game of the Year, and has since been regarded as one of the greatest Games of all time. The game has sold over 20 million copies as of December 2020, becoming one of the best selling Switch games, thanks but that’s all I have to say
