Nicely written. I want to share something with you. I live in a very small village in Karnataka state (South India) — called B.R.HILLS. The village is located in a range of hills surrounded by forests known as the BRT Range. Tribals known as ‘soligas’ live in the region and some of them are employed on the farm on which I live. I have noticed, whenever there is any question, the tribals always respond with “I don’t know” immediately. Like — sometimes I know that one of them has seen a certain thing just hours ago but when I ask him/her “do you know where it is?” the answer is always “I don’t knos”. I think they don’t want to be held responsible for anything, so they have learnt to say “I don’t know”.
