It announces itself.

By what it is not.

Last October, we put the porch furniture in the garage.

Set the clocks back.

Mourned Whippy Dip’s “Last Chance” warning.

There was comfort in putting away.

Early evenings.

Abstention.

But Dante’s Hell was repetition.

Winter obliges Spring.
