I didn’t have a no travel for weddings policy until I traveled for a bunch of weddings and saw what it did to my free time and bank account. I’m very happy for people who are getting married — with a few exceptions, but stuff ads up pretty quickly.

I have recently been forced to suspend that policy (husband’s cousin/best friend is having a destination wedding) and am super salty about the entire situation. Of course instead of asking my friends for cash I’m pushing back a vacation I had been planning for years, but that’s still preferable.
