If one of my friends hit me up for cash so they could go to 6 weddings and fly to bachlorette parties I’d block them on social media. If you want to spend more than you should on something go for it, but don’t dream about asking me to contribute. People make weddings in to months long money draining events and everyone complains about it. Just opt out.
