It sounds like that’s just not the right kind of dog for you. I have two small terriers who will walk for 10000 hours if you let them, but also are content to sleep on the couch all day as long as they get one good run in the park. They don’t even know what being destructive would look like. If I had an Australian shepherd my life would be more difficult.
