INTRODUCING THE BUCKET LIST FAMILY

Hi, we are The Bucket List Family! We’re a full-time traveling family on an adventure around the world. We have 2 young children, Dorothy (5) and Manilla (3) with baby #3 on the way! For over 2 years we have lived on the road working as Family Travel Journalists. Together we have visited 49 countries and been on 186 flights. We document our travels on Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.

Health is a top priority for our family but travel can make it very difficult. This blog post gives full detail into our travel workout plans and travel diet plans. Each section below has been divided into 2 different parts, HIS (written by Garrett) and HERS (written by Jessica). …

We’re a full-time traveling family. It’s me, my wife and our two little kids, Dorothy and Manilla. We’ve been traveling full-time since August 2015 and we’ve visited 38 countries and been on over 80 plane rides. I am a true believer in journal keeping and we document our memories on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

This January we teamed up for our first-ever meet up in Salt Lake City hosted by Pictureline. We brought along the kiddos for a Q&A about all things travel, social media and photography.

I’m the family photographer/videographer. …

17 months ago my wife and 2 I sold everything and left our home for an adventure around the world with our two young kids. Since the beginning we have documented our adventures on Instagram, YouTube, and other social medias. Blogging, vlogging, and posting about our travels have enabled us to fund and even make money as we go. Today, we are selling all of the photo, video, and other tech gear that has powered The Bucket List Family! Every photo you see on our Instagram and every video on our YouTube channel was created with this gear!

I decided to sell everything together as one awesome package instead separately. I love this gear and I LOVE the idea of passing on to another budding adventure travel journalist. I’m selling it because 1 year ago, I set some goals for myself and promised myself I could upgrade all my gear if I passed each goal. So here it is. Everything. For sale. For everything, I paid about $9000. For one person, I’m selling it all for $4,900. Below is a list of everything included. If you’re interested, direct message us on Facebook or Instagram

My wife left me. She also left our 2 children. She went on a girls trip for 4 days!! 4 days!! So, what did the children and I do for 4 days without mom? We bunkered down and went straight SURVIVAL MODE! Here is our report :

7 PROPS TO ALL THE MOTHERS

During these 4 mommy-less days, I made a list of 7 props or praise or shoutouts to all mothers..

1 : Props to every mom who showers. Double props if you get ready after you shower! Do you always just shower with your babies or do you just let them sit inside the bathroom crying because they can see you but you’re not holding them? …

Swimming with Humpback Whales

August 2015 — Young family of 4, we decided to sell all of our belongings and venture around the world. You can track our photos on Instagram, our videos on YouTube, and our stories right here :)

It was 1 year ago when I came across a photograph of a National Geographic explorer free diving with humpback whales. He was in the water!! With humpback whales!! I couldn’t believe it. Whales are my favorite and I have been on a number of whale watching tours where I board a boat with a crowd of other tourists and we set out to see whales breach from a safe 100–300 yards away. I thought that those tours were special, but this photo was opening my mind to a whole new level. How was this possible?? …

It’s About Time I Tell You..

Dear Coach Watkins,

as the head coach of BYU Soccer, you have power and influence over the lives of so many young athletes, myself included. The success of the program is reflected from the efforts and actions of the players, staff members, fans, and more..yet the responsibility seems to fall on 1 individual, 1 head coach : YOU.

Earlier this month I played my final game as a BYU Cougar. With a blow of the final whistle, my 4 years with the soccer team were complete. As always, I stayed up that night re-watching the game and replaying every opportunity in my mind. Except this time, it wasn’t 1 game. …

Our little family started when I met Jessica in a flower shop in Vladivostok, Russia where we both were serving as missionaries for our church. I was 19 at the time. We later returned home to the U.S. and eventually got married in our early 20s and now have 2 children, Dorothy and Manilla. Currently, we are living in Provo, Utah where I’m a student athlete at BYU.

As a Freshman back in 2011, I had created an app, Scan, that did very well for us financially. I dropped out after my Sophomore year and moved to San Francisco to focus more on Scan but missed playing with the BYU Soccer team so I dropped back in ;) Now, this August (2015) I will finish my 4th and final year with the soccer team. …

When I was a Freshman at BYU (I’m currently a Senior), I took a class titled Intro to Entrepreneurship. This was my first exposure to the world of business and startups. Our professor would invite seasoned entrepreneurs and successful business professionals to speak to our class.

As a young inexperienced human, I was hoping they would impress me (even make me jealous) and then teach me how to achieve a life similar to theirs. BUT it didn’t really happen like that. More so, it just confused me. I hoped to hear how their financial success in life afforded them more freedom, better health, greater relationships with family and friends, and incredible travels and life experiences. Instead, they would choose to speak about their revenues from the previous year, how many employees they added the past month, or the crazy long hours they put in at work or even their commute to and from. …
