What if we shifted the key narrative of our times from ‘growth’ to ‘saving life’?
What if every single business, organisation and group had the same overarching mission; to save life.
What if we could co-create a new world of metrics that matter, that centre life in all of its forms and centers those most harmed by our currently life-reducing ways?
- I bet ‘employee engagement’ would be at 90%+ continuously vs 1 in 3 being fully engaged.
The Gallup 2022 State of Workplace is damning stating:
With only 21% of employees engaged at work and 33% of employees thriving in their overall wellbeing, most would say that they don’t find their work meaningful, don’t think their lives are going well or don’t feel hopeful about their future
Why do we keep doing what we have always done when work is clearly not working, or is that the point? It is working for the select few….
- I bet we would see ourselves and what we do as so deeply connected and interconnected, away from the myopia of more of the same, and at literally all costs, including to ourselves
- I bet we would feel incredibly ALIVE in ways never experienced in the past 100 years
- I bet we would feel so much better, in so many ways
- I bet we would want to co-create, connect and work towards projects and work that is deeply impactful and makes a difference beyond our own four walls
I don’t know of course, I am just trying to sense and imagine into what is possible if we in the West, especially those with power, allowed themselves to change their mind.
They could do it right now, literally right NOW.
Do you allow yourself to change your mind?
