We ARE Change
Mahatma Gandhi once wrote ‘be the change.’
I think this sentiment is wonderful and speaks to accountability, personal leadership, stretching oneself.
However I would like to iterate this quote following a lovely reflection with a work colleague.
He shared the key takeaways from a book by John Kotter about change called ‘our iceberg is melting.’
He was really moved by the messaging that, in summary, points to the fact that penguins deal better with change than humans.
In the moment I had a realisation around thinking.
I can only believe that penguins do not overthink their life, their existence, their job role, how much money they have, if someone is avoiding them, what if X or Y does not happen etc This is an assumption, but one I hope carries/resonates.
We are in the moment human beings, literally every second we are changing, so I would assert we ARE change.
How about we all try and be a bit more penguin!? Indeed we all are innately before our thinking kicks in so let’s enjoy the ride?
