The space program early on raised the level of education. There was tremendous technological advances. Computer technology advanced too. I suspect it was driven mostly by the weapons program and the need to simulate atomic weapons. I believe all the money spent multiplied. I believe that untill space became routine it was unifying.

We have been in a declining spitral since Reagan was elected. Yes I voted for him.

I graduated high school in 1961. I completed my course work in Agust 1965 and graduated in June 1966 ( BS Education Math/History). Worked as an engineer until I retired in 2001.
