As correct as you may be, Ron — its is no small fact that the bulk of the worlds “western” population lives in the cities and their suburbs (maybe excepting US deep south, I guess by your posts), and now the bulk of children are going on to higher education .
Unfortunately this is exactly where the raving feminists are … and have the most influence.
Almost everyone of my family’s 15 -30+yo daughters consider themselves feminists — not the screeching kind… but all believe way too much of the rhetoric nonsense nonetheless.
That is the scary part! … & even your “fly over”* stronghold can’t change the world tide.
*Edited — as it was pointed out — my original choice of “deep south” had far more negative connotations, and a different meaning, than I assumed in my ignorance.
I have now substituted Ron’s “flyover” as I have no idea of the correct US terminology for what we in Australia would call “country folk”
The real purpose is to highlight the separation & difference in views between those who have “done the hard yards” who have a more realistic, albeit conservative, view based on real experience, compared to the cities youthful & unexperienced fantasies as dreamed up in some pure academic setting.
