The problem isn’t “people who drink”. The problem is people creating an environment where the “the only thing to do is drink”.

When you create an event that centers around “drinking and talking” then you’ve excluded the people who don’t drink alcohol. Consuming poison should be the optional side activity, not the core feature of the event.
