Day 30: More Than Conquerors (March 30th)

Reading: Romans 8:18–38

One of the most powerful verses in the Bible is Romans 8:31 — “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Does that get you pumped up? Maybe it’s just the particular song I’m thinking of that I am going to add to my workout playlist since it’s pretty rocking! If you are still uncertain about the point Paul is trying to make in the verse, think of it this way. The leader of a Rebel Alliance receives stolen plans for a weapon capable of destroying a planet. The Alliance uses the plans to find a weakness in this weapon, but needs someone capable of pulling off the attack. This sounds familiar right? Since we already know how the movie ends, we can all agree that with Luke Skywalker on your side, you know you will be victorious. As believers, we already know how our story ends! God did not spare his own Son; he gave him up for all of us. With Christ on our side, we know that we have already won. We are more than conquerors because of his love for us!

Prayer: Father, I thank you that nothing can separate me from your love. I ask that you send your Holy Spirit to help me overcome my weaknesses so that I can live according to your will. Today, I stand on your word that I am more than a conqueror. Amen.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
