Religious Wars

Religion is not what people make, it is what they have faith in. No one is born to follow one religion, a free and an unconditional thought. To follow and preach what gives you happiness is the religion you belong to. A country like India , with diverse religions and several holy places to visit is an appropriate example to justify that no one is bound to preach in which he has no faith. A Hindu can go to a church and a Muslim can visit a Gurudwara, without any restriction.

Religion often tends to arise wars, wars which are primarily caused by differences in religions. A forceful acceptation to a person for a particular religion is an unethical and an unlawful act, except those who accept the same with all their heart. Such an acceptation is seen and has increased with a thud in the past few years. The cases like , 26/11, in which terrorist Kasab was an innocent youth brought on the path of terrorism in the name of religion.

The physically and mentally healthy youth are not the real terrorists. They are only the tools in the hands of those who use them, that is, the organisations which are against communal harmony.

Fanatics and communists are the main cause of terrorism. They mislead and misguide the youth. Religious fanatics spread communalism and promote terrorism to destabilise certain religion.

Now a days, terrorists are the young brains, brain a biological weapon, who are blackmailed (in the name of religion) and lured to act as directed.

“For some they are freedom fighters, for. others they are terrorists.” … The quote says it all. The masters of these innocent minds and cold hearts tend to brain wash them to perform evil tasks in the name of religion. Trapping the youth in the emotional shell attracts more and more fanatic souls. These monstrous organisations consider themselves as the care takers of their religion. In the name of God they start to do various evil practices which to them are justified.

Such opportunities thus help the youth to earn easy money for themselves and their families, get attention of the media and become Heroes (though negatively) . Their main intention and motive is to create fear and terror in the minds of the common masses of the opposite community and destabilise the nations , politically, socially and economically. This further leads to the decrease in the country’s economy by discouraging foreign investments and tourism. A country which has been attacked by these terrorist groups surely have effected tourism as any and everyone will hesitate and fear to visit the terror effected places.

Muslims effecting their own community are helping their own sons to become a part of the terror acts and make Islam the only state.

Poverty, illiteracy along with unemployment are the main reasons why these young minds are easily influenced to join the conspiracies in the name of religion. In the name of Islam , the self styled masters tend to hypnotise and sway the youth and prepare them to believe terrorism isn’t incorrect.

Religious extremism is another reason why people indulge themselves into such acts. The Tech-savvy generation leaves no other option for the religious extremists who are increasingly turning to the internet to find indoctrinate and radicalise young Muslims. Like several predators , they prey on vulnerable young people , quickly brainwashing them with ‘Al Queda’ propaganda and very quickly turning them into potential terrorists.

These extremist predators, many of whom are below 25 years and highly computer literate are setting up blogs, websites and forums in which they find and indoctrinate (teach to accept a set of beliefs unofficially) teens.

Religious wars aren’t new for the society. They have been here ever since the British Raj.

According to the Britishers, Bhagat Singh too was a terrorist but not regarded as one by his own men- the Indians.

The recent Paris terror attacks leave us numb as the terror was high in the graph and much higher in the terms of bloodshed.

The disputed site in Aayodhyaa, where the Ram Janam Bhoomi Temple is going to be built used to have a Mosque. The same was. demolished a few years back in a communo-political war spear-headed by the then BJP party chief Advani. Now this war to most of the Hindus seems very just as the temple attaches with it their sacred sentiments.

In 1994, at the Supreme Court, the constitutional bench passed that the Mosque is a fascinating centre for the Muslims and they can perform their religious service anywhere and not just limit it to the four walls of the Mosque. But for the Hindus, Temples are a must for worshiping and preaching as most of the Hindus believe in idol worship. So, temples aren’t a fascinating centre for the Hindus rather a place of worship.

Social norms differ from culture to culture. A deviant act can be committed in a society that breaks a social norm there but maybe normal for another society. Like in India, many worship the Cow and on the other hand some don’t even hesitate in slaughtering it.

All the countries of the world should unite and cooperate with one another to fight the monster of religious wars. The entire globe must pledge to put an end to the same. It becomes the responsibility of each and every human, he may belong to any religion, Hindu , Muslim, Christian or a Jew to put in a sincere effort at his own level to erase the cancer of communalism which is the root cause of religious wars. With such a wide democracy in India, all political parties and heads of different religious groups should take a vow to fight religious extremism. The politicians should try and save their citizens instead of fanning the fire of corruption and communalism for their own selfish interest.
