Ironies in life !!!

…..!!!! There was this Classical dance program on World Dance Day… which I attended once. There were different dancers of merit and each dancer was given a time to present their art. There was a dancer who was pouring his heart out in his lovely performance…. It was a seminar kind of a compact hall where the stage was on the level of the seated audience and the first row was quite close to the stage….. Now there was this gentleman who calls himself a connoisseur in dance (which he is certainly not….) He sat in the first row right in front of the performer…He kept on speaking to the lady next to him and also to other ladies not next to him:-( all through the performance. Since I was seated right behind this gentleman even I was thoroughly disturbed by this man’s distractions..I could see that the dancer kept on giving him discrete looks of dismay in between ..which I could gauge easily (…and maybe a few more probably from the audience). I even stopped myself from giving a pointer to this man about the same. Finally the dancer’s short performance ended but this man’s repertoire didn’t… It seemed that he was interested in everything else but the performance…After the dance, much to my surprise, the organizers called upon Him on stage , to felicitate the artist !!!! I just couldn’t stop smiling !!! That artist too kept his surprise and disappointment within himself and accepted the felicitation with a courteous smile on his face…now that’s called an irony !! Around 15 years back, in our local area function, I was called upon to felicitate a local man for his work in that function…In fact I always avoided him…rather hated him since he eve teased girls in the area ( even me at some point of time)…And there I was felicitating this man with a warm smile !!!! ..speaking about ironies :-) in all walks of life :-)
