I think science and math are grounded in logic whereas the humanities are grounded in wisdom, so you shouldn’t want to exclude one or the other. Studying the humanities can only ease progression of the sciences and mathematics, fostering cooperation at the very least. I was educated in a STEM field and it wasn’t until I wrote a dissertation and began working that I realised the true importance of communication of ideas.
