Michael Moore, the acclaimed documentary film-maker and important progressive voice skewering the corporate take-over of democracy for years, has produced a new documentary film called ‘Planet of the Humans.’

The film is directed by Jeff Gibbs, a self-proclaimed ‘tree hugger’ with a career in environmental conservation in various roles.

The film’s main argument is that green renewable energy like solar, wind and biomass, have fallen short of environmentalists’ claims that these green technologies would accelerate our transition to a more sustainable future.

Instead, they argue, many environmental groups are beholden to the same corporate billionaires that we should be fighting against. The filmmakers argue that environmental groups like 350.org and Sierra Club have been scamming the public about the promise of renewable energy.

The solution?

“We really have got to start dealing with the issue of population … without seeing some sort of major die-off in population, there’s no turning back.”

In other words, green energy is too inefficient and environmentally damaging to ever be able to fulfill humanity’s current levels of energy consumption. The only option is to address ‘the elephants in the room’: overpopulation.
