The one single lesson that will change your whole life forever

What’s the best part of my day?

Watching my wife sitting on the training floor whilst our baby son was crawling across to his big sister. Our daughter tying up her last belt on her uniform as our eldest son was practicing his forms on the opposite side of the mats to me. I was practicing also. My whole family was there.

What was the worst part of my day?

Feeling so exhausted before afternoon classes, that I had to just lie on the floor and sleep for 10 minutes.

What I’ve realised for myself today.

That more brings more.

It feels like it’s taken me about 53 years to work out with absolute clarity that in order to grow and move forward, I need to face the pain and discomfort.

You see, having more means having more!

I’ve noticed that when I have more money, I can then create more money. For example if I bought a box of 12 oat milks that are on 50% discount, that it means that I’ve made the value of 50% extra. So the more I bought, the more I saved. I’m lactose intolerant.

It’s the same as happiness. So often I watch people know that they feel better about themselves after having spent time exercising. But then the very same people stop exercising when it’s busy at work.

It just doesn’t make sense. Why would you stop dong the very thing that makes you feel better about yourself? When I feel better about myself, I can do more. Face more. Be more.

I’ve learnt that it’s so important to look after myself. That caring for myself is the absolute key to being able to care for my loved ones.

It’s such an important lesson to learn. Such an important lesson for my children to learn.

I’m so tired.

Still on target. 20 Yilus today.

Thanks for sharing.
