Seven Black Players Made History, 50 Years Ago

Having read and later seen “Glory Road,” I am well aware of the story of the first all Black team to win the NCAA finals. What a great story of courage on the sides of both the young Black players and the Whites who were involved in the decision making process, even the White players who stayed with the team and humbly took the bench while cheering on the starters. Man, I love this story and YOU lived it.

For me at least, you didn’t have to use a bunch of adjectives in your writing to create a high level of excitement. Thank you for bringing back this story. For jocks like me the understanding of the underlying issues is so much more easily understood on the faces of the young athletes involved (even if they were actors).

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
