“Travel brings power and love back into your life”- Rumi

I went to Wollongong for a quick holiday around Christmas. I heard about the city as one of the options for a quick escape from Sydney as it is just a 90 minutes journey by train. Wollongong is a coastal city in New South Wales, Australia. There is a lot to see but I managed to cover only some of it. The place is absolutely beautiful with beaches, harbour, light house and a buddhist temple. There are various lookout points, cycling tracks and walks. One can easily spend two to three days here.

Spectacular views of green mountains next to the ocean with all the hues of blue - thats Wollongong.

The scenic Grand Pacific Drive is a nice option to reach Wollongong from Sydney.

The Head lighthouse is on a beautiful grassy hill. It was built in early 1930s at Flagstaff point. It is the perfect spot to capture the sunrise.
