How To Opt Out Of Evernote Employees “Reading Your Notes”

So I am a HUGE Evernote fan — it’s the cornerstone of my system for using my ADHD as a superpower — and there’s been a lot of people freaking out in the past day or so about their new privacy policy. I was outraged when I first heard about it.

“The News” says it will allow Evernote employees to read through all of your notes, which is a very frightening proposition. But this is not the whole story which you can over at Evernote’s blog. (https://goo.gl/QIbO1L)

There’s one big point that is being left out in these stories is that you can OPT OUT of this program.

Here’s how you do it.

  1. Log into your account at evernote.com
  2. Go to your account settings.

3. Click on “Personal Settings”

4. Un-check “Allow Evernote to use my data to improve my experience.”

5. Keep staying productive.
