I am a Data Engineer and Senior Data Analytics Manager with the capacity to not only ideate but also implement data strategies in any business: from database design, to ETL and orchestration, to cloud infrastructure, to BI strategy and data platform development. My work begins with identifying the data landscape and determining a practical path forward. I believe that a successful BI strategy must start with early implementation and grow from there, and that means rapid requirements gathering and early prototyping of high priority use cases. And of course, knowing the business is critical to the process; that's why I prioritize data governance, security, and end users of the data in the BI strategy design process. In the end, my approach to BI and infrastructure puts the business' needs before all else, so that data can be turned into value and not just endless potential.

I am also an avid tall ship sailor. I sail mostly through the Great Lakes, but I also sailed across the Atlantic Ocean aboard the Statsraad Lehmkuhl in October 2021 from the Canary Islands to Curaçao.
