Photos & Slides: And we gathered in hundreds to learn

The GDGLagos Developer Conference that held on July 28th is the biggest developer-focussed event we have had so far. Over 600 attendees in one venue for a 1-day event.

It was held at an awesome venue — The Zone Centre in Gbagada.

We also had the pleasure of hosting several Googlers at that event -

Jason Titus (VP, Developer Product at Google), David McLaughlin (Director, Global Developer Ecosystem), Titi Akinsanmi (Policy & Government Relations) and the awesome people of the Google Developer Relations team supporting the GDEs (Google Developer Experts), GDGs (Google Developer Groups) and Broader Developer Communities (BDCs) in SSA — Andy Volk, Aniedi Udo-Obong, John Kimani and Lai Bolaji.

Photos with Googlers — (L-R) David McLaughlin, Andy Volk, Ajibola Oseni(Attendee), Olufemi(Attendee) & Jason Titus

So many people to thank for the success of #GDGLagosDevConf

First, the selfless people who volunteered without being asked

If you were able to join any of the many @WeMoveCo shuttles from Celestine Ezeokoye , Osioke (Sprime) from DevCenter took up the mantle to help us coordinate that.

The posters shared on social media for the event came through Christian Nwamba who hooked us up with UI ninja who was doing his exams but found time for us.

Thanks to Christian Nwamba, and Prosper Otemuyiwa and many others constantly helping us put the word out there and encouraging participation

To our wonderful speakers who gave up ample time in their busy schedule to prepare and present, thank you.

To the owners of the beautiful space used The Zone Center, your technical support team was on ground all through helping out and solving problems quickly, thank you.

To Debo, who was constantly moving around making sure everything that was important was getting attention while the event was ongoing.

To the man in front and behind the scenes not only for GDGs, but for many communities in Nigeria and beyond — Aniedi Udo-Obong, you are too much.

To the hundreds of attendees for coming, from far and near and on time — Thank you.

To Adewale Yusuf for this beautiful post on the event and epic photos, thank you.

To Rotimi Okungbaye for helping spread the fire and the photos shared from the event, thank you.

To the Andela Nigeria crew for the Android Learning Community and support for this event, thank you.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
