Pillar Technology continues support for Girl Develop It Ann Arbor as host for 2nd Anniversary Fundraiser
ANN ARBOR, MI — The Ann Arbor Chapter of Girl Develop It is pleased to announce Pillar Technology as hosting venue and sponsor of their 2nd Anniversary Fundraiser.
Pillar Technology (Pillar) has supported Girl Develop It Ann Arbor’s efforts in the tech community since their founding in 2014. As host to the organization’s launch party in June of 2014, their 1-Year Anniversary fundraiser in June of 2015, and numerous other presentation and workshop events, Girl Develop It (GDI) has come to call Pillar “home” in Ann Arbor.
“Girl Develop It Ann Arbor is an amazing organization to partner with and shares a lot of the same values as we do at Pillar,” says Dan Davis, Software Craftsman and Agile Coach at Pillar, “I can’t think of a better group with a direct connection to the trifecta of technology, diversity and community growth.”
At each event, Chapter Leaders of Girl Develop It Ann Arbor introduce members to the group’s mission: “to empower and assist women interested in getting into and advancing in the tech industry through affordable and accessible programs.”
Brand Advocate and Team Builder, Dave Senters observed, “GDI has made strides in the tech community to teach others how to be better professionals and provide a great way to learn! I am consistently impressed with the growth, integrity, and mission of these great community contributors!” Dave closed his remark with: “it is an honor to support GDI on their journey and can’t wait to see their continuous impact disrupt the way people learn!”
The anniversary fundraiser will take place on Thursday, June 9th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at The Forge by Pillar located at 301 E. Liberty St., Suite 700 in Ann Arbor.
Tickets are $25.00 per person and may be purchased in advance at http://bit.ly/gdiaa-anniversary-2 or at the door. All proceeds will continue to provide development opportunities to women in the community.
