A lovely story. I live in a farming community. And while I don’t farm, most kids around here pick corn in the summer — the thing to do! I love watching the corn grow (sometimes planted across the street from our home) and LOVE to eat fresh corn in late summer. It also makes me sad because corn picking represents the end of summer here in New England. Thanks for sharing your story.
