In the early 90s I started my work in Victim assistance — working a rape crisis line and providing counseling to survivors. That was some 26 years ago. I am dismayed, shocked, saddened, disturbed, disheartened (add in a few more adjectives) that the needle on this conversation has barely moved. In fact working in higher education, I see everyday the stark reminders of how little it’s moved and how VERY VERY far we have to go.
