Thank you for saying this alto and for saying it so eloquently. I found this piece to be so important as a step towards destigmatizing choice. Let’s face it, in this country, women run into a million obstacles when exercising their right to reproductive services including abortion. One of those obstacles is stigma and isolatioin. Tabú was courageous in sharing her story so that others may feel less isolated. I found her story to be thoughtful and as you say a huge value to other women finding themselves faced with a decision about her pregnancy. Trusting women to make choices that are right for them is at the core of a pro-choice stance and deeply important to women’s health and equality.
