Yes. It is true. We have a segregated school system, where the public schools in many areas are woefully underfunded and the children from those schools remain at a disadvantage through high school (and college if they are lucky enough to get there). We keep looking for innovations (which are important), but sometimes I think a true innovation is reinvesting in public education. Thanks for your comments.
