You’ve clearly misunderstood capitalism. The “we” you cite, as in we can fund this or some other thing that appeals to me, is not you. The company’s investors presumably think 3D fake vaginas and complementary virtual simulations are where they can make money. They make the actual money by serving needs. You may disagree with those needs, but why do you think your vision for the future is any better than theirs?
More to the point, they are spending their own money; money you seem to think you should spend instead.
And it is this element, the belief you’d be a better custodian of wealth than those who earned it, that is really the culprit when it comes to the destruction of civilisation. If plastic vagina manufacturers' instincts are off, and chaps really prefer actual live women, they’ll lose their shirts. You stand to lose nothing if you are wrong. Which of those scenarios do you think is more likely to temper behaviour in favour of the needs and wants of millions, and which is more likely to impose tyranny?
Say what you like about elaborate wankrigs (just made that up, feel free to use it 😉) but at least their designers are not attempting to impose their utopian vision on the rest of us. Although I have to admit the whole idea is rather hilarious. mind you, at least the plastic vagina can’t nag ☺
