I’d probably always advise to think about your individual situation on many of these. In fact that’s good strategy when accepting any advice. DVD’s/Blu-Ray still make economic and practical sense for me. Internet is VERY expensive in my area with ungenerous monthly limits . Movies, most noticeably HD, would make me go broke paying for overage charges ($10 for every 5GB once I exceed my if I did all my viewing online. I can get discs for not too much — even less buying used ones — and watch them over and over with no impact on my wallet or bandwidth allowance.
