CONNECT, LEARN AND GROW

The firsts are always what gives us an opportunity to experience new be whatever field it is. And so here we are- “The first session of GDSC Chandigarh University 2021”, which was held on September 5th, 2021 on the special occasion of Teacher’s Day. The orientation session was lead by the GDSC community lead (Ajayraj Singh), taking the responsibility of explaining the entire GDSC process and resolving all the student’s queries. The team makes it all and not one and so the core team members of GDSC Chandigarh University were the hosts.

Introductions make each other comfortable and so the session started with the introduction of the GDSC CU Lead- Ajayraj Singh.

Ajayraj Singh — DSC Lead

Followed, the session continued with the prime agendas of the meeting. For things to be crystal clear, the entire meeting was divided into sections.

And here are the main beings. Similar to the main() function where it's of course main and needed, the rituals are main and needed to give the start with high spirit. Guessed right, the ritual of starting with quote be it any field.

“In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”

AGENDA:

To give a go, one needs to start from scratch even on knowing much or less.

And so the introduction to our growing club was mentioned.

No idea what GDSC is? No worries, below you go!

What is Google DSC?

Google Developer Student Clubs (GDSC) are community groups for college and university students interested in Google developer technologies. Students from all undergraduate or graduate programs with an interest in growing as a developer are welcome. By joining a GDSC, students enhance their knowledge in a peer-to-peer learning environment and build solutions for local businesses and their communities.

After the introduction of Google DSC, it was time to know about the vision and mission of the community.

Our Vision and Mission

  • Build a strong technical understanding of google technologies, such as Android, Flutter, Tensor flow, Google Cloud, and more.
  • Build community projects to solve real-world problems to help and support local businesses.
  • Helping students to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Make the community ready for Solution Challenge and industrial work.

The session was going amazingly well with an audience number of more than 80. After the Vision and Mission of the community, the community guidelines were on the way.

Community Guidelines:

The community guidelines are strict and well organized. The community has Zero Tolerance Policy for in-person or online harassment.

What will be your takeaway from here?

  • Strong foundation and understanding of 5 different leading google technologies.
  • 5 minor projects in different technologies with 2 major solution projects.
  • Understanding of open source projects and contributions.
  • Industrial-level development experience.
