For the Bride and her Tribe: The best of Wedding Asia Ludhiana
A city original, Wedding Asia, now in its 11th year of inception, is Ludhiana’s favourite child. After all, it’s become a premium wedding exhibition that exhibits pan India. Exhibiting in Ludhiana from 18th-20th August 2017 at Park Plaza, Ludhiana, this wedding showcase is extremely vast.
A bride and her tribe always deserve the best, so Gedhi Route decided to venture into the halls of Wedding Asia to pick out the best the exhibit has to offer; be it jewellery, trousseau, makeup artist or clothes. So hop on as we guide you through the Darbar (the entry hall) and then the Kohinoor (the exit hall) so that you get exactly what you are looking for without wasting a single second (we know how precious time is for a bride!)
The Darbar is the primary exhibit hall catering to mostly Brides and their families. From jewellery stores, venue options, trousseau to swanky designer wear you get everything here.
If you have a penchant for diamonds, then Diamond Constellation is your haven! We were swooning over their intricate yet unconventional designs. There’s this one particular piece in Rubies and Diamond Polki that really caught our eye. Head up to this kiosk for the classiest diamond pieces.
You can also check them out on Facebook
Temple jewellery is pretty rad these days and Chawla Jewellers has some distinct pieces. Crafted out of antique gold they have an array of cocktail rings, bracelets that you can stock for your wedding. And in case you are looking for a gold necklace, they have a few pieces inspired by sandalwood neck pieces (they are extremely gorgeous, by the way ) Also they are offering a discount only if you shop at the exhibit. So hurry up!
For more details on them, click here.
Bridal jewellery goals come to life here! With huge chunky pieces that appeal to the Sabyasachi loving bride, this kiosk is a must visit. Quite a fresh take on traditional designs. Check out some of the designs here.
Le Khanna Jewellers
If you have set your heart on Kundan and Diamond Polki, you need not look any further. They have an elaborate collection of Raani Haars and string necklaces. And if you happen to dig earrings as much as I do they have a gorgeous set of solitaire diamonds that are a must have for every bride.
Do check them out. You also take a look here.
La Palette by Sanchit Mehra
Heading to clothes now, this places provides everything under one roof for you. You can find your engagement, cocktail, mehndi outfits here with some budget left for your trousseau as well. Yup, you got that right, this designer ain’t that heavy on the pocket. The Cerulean blue dress with a silver waist belt is a must have for any girl, bride or no bride! You can follow him on Facebook.
OM Couture by Bharti and Aashna
Don’t be fooled by the small display. All of their designs are to die for. They have a few 3-D design gowns which make for perfect engagement and reception wear. What really drew me to their stall was the single lehenga on that display — a multi coloured subtle intricately designed lehenga with hues of mint. You can locate them here.
This boutique from Shahpur Jatt has outfits not just for the bride but her entire tribe. There are a few bright Anarkalis fit for the gorgeous Sikh bride. Bridesmaids, sister of the bride can choose from evening gowns, crop tops, skirts. They are priced very decently. You’ll definitely end up picking at least one outfit from this place.
Who doesn’t love Pastels and Minty hues? We loved this kiosk for the gorgeous mint floral dress (which you can see is a favourite amongst others as well). You can pick out some trousseau pieces from this place. The designs are here for you to see.
Nitin Bal Chauhan
This designer fits the bill for sophisticated kurtas and tunics. One might find it to be slightly over priced, but trust us, the entire embroidery on the tunics is handmade and hand sewn. The detailing on these things will force you to buy at least one. The Buddha embroidery seemed pretty popular. This is his Facebook page.
Sanam Tamanna — Dubai
They are a famous name in the exhibition circles here. Head up to their stall for sophisticated light weight cotton suit pieces. The highlight would be the colours — grey and green. An absolute delight to look at!
Studio Dream Collection Delhi
They were the busiest clothing stall we saw out there. From casual to formal wear they had it all. Brides. take your entire entourage here, by the end of the exhibition, they’ll be absolutely set for your wedding! You can visit their store in Rajouri in case you miss them here.
Moving on to the venue,
Mundota Fort and Palace, Jaipur
A royal wedding, set within a fort! Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani gave us girls some major #FortDestinationWeddingGoals. While Udaipur might sound slightly far-fetched and too mainstream, the Mundota Fort and Palace can make for the perfect wedding destination. Head up to the kiosk and speak to Digvijaya Singh to get a better idea of their offerings. You can check the fort here!
This hall showcases stuff fit for attending your friend’s weddings and everyday wear. There’s one element of surprise for the bride though. Look for it towards the end of the blog.
Yup, the name is extremely catchy. But what’s catchier is the oh-so light cotton fabric that they use. All of their clothes are perfect for summers. Their pricing resonates the weight of the fabric — extremely light!
Effects by Jatish Mongia
Now that you have had enough of clothes and jewellery, let’s move on to the invites. Effects by Jatish Mongia will capture just more than your eyes. With specialisation in couture designs, his invites will make your wedding the talk of the town. The boxes are oh-so gorgeous! See it here.
Nature Bound Nurturance
Skin care is important for the bride and her tribe. The lady at the kiosk is extremely warm and explains the usage of the products very well. Bdw the products, they work like magic. Check out the range here.
Indian wear is incomplete without a pair of Punjabi Juttis! For your bespoke jutti fix, head up to Vintage Touch. Such gorg pairs they have! Absolutely drool-worthy *wink*. Check them out on Facebook.
How could we forget this… the most important part of the Mehndi Function. Astonishments has a wide range of mehndi jewellery and favour gifts for the bride and her girls.
The Blush Room by Mehak
This is the element we were talking about. The Blush Room by Mehak is a makeup studio. What’s worth checking out here is the lookbook she has created. You can check out the various looks she can chalk out for your special day or your friend’s wedding. Inner secrets from Chandigarh has also made an entrance here, so you can get your makeup fix for NAKED and Kylie lip kits.
We hope you enjoy the exhibit at Wedding Asia. Let us know in the comments section below!
