You make a really great point here Filip. I speak at and attend a lot of developer focused conferences and have often found myself thinking the same things you’ve outlined here, most notably a huge level of disappointment when trying to implement a new technology I learned about during a session in a “real world” project.

I’m actually in the process of finishing up my next talk, which itself contains a very stripped down (hello-world-esque) example, and this gave me pause for thought. Fortunately, the technology I’m working with really is simple to implement in both tiny example solutions and full-scale enterprise apps; however, I do now plan to show a more full-scale example alongside my simplified one.
