The Big Question

What is the true creation of life on Earth?
We all have different beliefs of the creation of Earth. Whether it is the big bang theory or the seven day creation, we all believe in different things. Most people who attended a private liberal or public school were taught about the evolution of the human race. We were taught that we all derived from a common ancestor. However, there are some individuals that are a part of religious groups who do not believe in the evolution of the human race. They believe that their God, created life on Earth. Since we all have a wide variety of beliefs what is the truth? Their are many answers out there. Scientifically, fossils have been found and the human race has been connected to historical fossils of our common ancestor. For example, Lucy was the oldest fossil found of our common ancestor. She is one of the oldest fossils of the hominid species, which is the start of the homo sapiens evolutionary process. There are answers, however, where did Lucy come from? It all comes down to the same question that never seems to be answered.
The idea of the creation of life conforms to each individuals beliefs, but what really is the truth? As a roman catholic I should believe in the creation of the earth as told in the book of Genesis. As a prospective biologist, I should believe in evolution. Yet, I find myself questioning the truth. It then makes me wonder, is this a sociological issue? There has been scientific proof of evolution and fossils have been found, but I still question the truth of those facts. I then consider the Creation. In the bible it is stated that God created the Earth over the course of six days, miraculously the Earth was made and life was created. We do not all believe in either of the stories. Is the creation of life a sociological issue. Due to our individuality, have we made up these stories?
I question this everyday because of my beliefs. I am a roman catholic who wants to pursue a biology major, my bleliefs and career in a way contradict, causing me to ponder the creation of life. Beleiving that it is a sociological issue, is beyond me. It is a complex study of individuality and societal influence. The more I think the more the answer becomes unclear. At first it was so simple, evolution or The Creation. Now, it is something to heavily consider. What really is the truth of the creation of life? Perhaps there is no right answer but society simply has an answer for you depending on your individuality. This is a question to be answered in the future by a team of sociologists as they are most open minded and would have an unbias opinion on the truth.
