Upspring

“Look at him, he’s come all this way running at 6’o clock. Should’ve gotten into some auto-rickshaw.”

“Well, when I said — morning, it meant that we were to walk over there by foot. Anyways, I was calling you but you didn’t pick up the phone. I was determined to go there all by myself, I am surprised to see you here at this early hour.”

“Hahahaha, me as well, his brother dropped us here, I sense spending a great time here onwards.”

“Remember anything? The fluffy winters of December, and then comes the equally freezing curry with kachori, still gives me chills.”

“Yes, I remember, we came here at evening, and I was sneezing unstoppably, holding a firm faith onto the curry that it would wipe out my strifes. I, then, was holding a cup watchfully anticipating for hottest curry I would taste ever and it struck me down.”

“But it won’t be same today, the owner seems to just launch for the day. I am sure we’ll get fresh and hot ones.”

“I hear, there is one more sought-after samosa shop in the old city, today let’s try that one as well.”

“We will have these while returning. Enjoy the bitter morning first.”

“Have you ever observed, even though we aren’t sure of these streets but somehow we land up on the right destination.”

“I have grown too old. When we were little, I watched adults nearly dead with fatigue but couldn’t understand it. Now I can reason with it.”

“Let’s sit down here itself. We have come till here and that itself is no less than accomplishment. From here alone we can catch the sight of half of the city, why ruin the morning by drenching ourselves in sweats?”

“Don’t take his words to heart, if we sit here, we will miss out the beautiful site on top there. C’mon we sleep and oversleep everyday, moreover only a few steps are remaining. Let’s hurry up.”

“Let’s go!”

“I am taking sideways. I am running out of fuel.”

“Wait, I’ll join you as well.”

“Whoa, recognized him?”

“Of course, but from where did he appear. I think he was too shy to stay back or even say hi.”

“He has put too much weight on. Comes here daily with his dad.”

“So here we are, finally !”

“They have a lavatory as well in the end, if anyone feel like it. Chilly morning and the Sun rising up can be overwhelming for some folks.”

“Let’s sit there on the edge of the mountain, nobody would muddle us there.”

“I am an acrophobiac — scared of heights, I detest, will enjoy right here.”

“Let’s go inside the temple once, and bow down. But take off your shoes outside first.”

“Thanks, but I am fine here, you guys go, I will wait for you.”

“You should’ve come there, it’s ok to overlook reasoning once a while.”

“Do you see how that pious man of yours is driving away the poor cows?”

“I too do not consider this righteous. Such people will only hold back an animal till they’re getting something out of it.”

“Nature has cast aside the curtains, the sun is peeking like a newborn baby. Look at the hamlet down there, how nature is offering peace and beauty — unblended, and men constantly overlooking it, sometimes I wonder.”

“Let’s go down. We’ll have something to eat.”

“Sure, sir.”

“We should have some pictures here, as the days passing by it’s unlikely that we’ll get such a chance again.”

“Very well, then.“

“Does your passion for football still intact? You want one?”

“Of course, I like it more than anything. But I first want to get out of here, get a job, and maybe then I will have it all done.”

“See, kids playing. Although, I’ve never tried it but I’ll if you show me. Hopefully, this young army won’t rule out us.”

“Hey, will you let us join you for a couple of minutes?”

“Sure, uncle!”

“What?!”

“Do these little ones, come here every day. They must be practising, are you sure we aren’t intriguing?”

“Stop talking nonsense, here, hit the ball with front-lower portion of your foot and try to lift the ball in the air … like this.”

“Ouch, it’s a pain.”

“Uncle, here…. like this.”

“Hahaha, this kid is way better than you.”

“Enough, you two. Let’s leave from here.”

“I am glad I came here today, count me in whenever you have such intents. Next time, I will yield my bed without an ask.”

“I think I have seen this green gate before, it should be that samosa shop I was talking to you about. But maintain your composure, it will be too crowded. People must be waiting here for long to get their turn.”

“Wait, step aside. I will get ours in a minute.”

Bhaiya, 3 samosas…. here, they are.”

“They aren’t as good as you told.”

“What are you talking about? 6 rupees per samosa that too crunchy with proper fillings. What else do you want?”

“I have tasted delicious kachori than this!”

“In what world, are you comparing samosa with kachori ?”

“Fine, let’s have kachori this time. Bhaiya 3 kachori aur sath mein curry!”

“It better be a volcano today.”

“Hmm, hold this, exactly what you asked for. Carefully!”

“I didn’t even realize how 5 hours went by, the best Diwali by far.”

“Totally, we should do this often.”

“Right, right.”
