Bible Study
I met Ansh at a networking event in my city. I noticed him immediately. Over six feet tall, athletic build, long sleeve shirt rolled up so you can see a tattoo of the world on his forearm, and handsome as hell. An attractive male concerned about networking but also loves to travel? Say no more.
Also, Ansh is Indian (well, Indian-American). I had recently decided I want to marry an Indian person because of amazing Indian traditions and my love of their familial culture. No doubt this secret wish of mine raised my interest in him.
My friend and I started talking to Ansh and his friend. They were super nice, cordial, and seemed like NORMAL guys. Ansh told us he had recently moved to the city, about his job, and how on the side he was a career coach. Literal *swoon* because I want to be a life coach one day. He told us how he liked to go dancing at jazz nights in town on Thursdays. A guy who likes to dance? Not grind? I was hanging on every word. He was also twenty-three, mind you. I was shook.
We end up talking the whole night. He asked me what the biggest lie I’ve ever told is, then we were interrupted. Later on in the night, Ansh came up to me and asked again. “Wow, i can’t believe you remember that. We’ve talked about so many other things since then,” I said. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, “When I know what I want, I don’t stop until I get it.”
Panties on the floor.
Let me also add that during this time, I had discovered erotica stories online that had been getting me jazzed. I wondered if Ansh might be the type that could help my act out my latest fantasies.
The next night there was a going away party with our new networking friends. Ansh picked me up in his BMW convertible with his friend I had met the previous night. We went to the party, had a great time, and socialized with our new friends. With every new person I talked to, every time I looked out of the corner of my eye, Ansh was looking at me.
We traveled to another bar, and I continued socializing with the whole group. I had just met him, after all, and wasn’t about to spend another whole night talking to only him. I would have conversations with folks and then go back and check in with him. I wanted to make sure that he knew I was still interested although i was talking to others.
I ended up leaving early before he did that night, I had a big day the next day. I had lent him my parking pass, so we made plans to meet on Sunday for me to grab to the pass.
Sunday rolls around and we’re trying to figure out when to pick up my pass. He says I can stop by to pick it up… but I’m unclear on whether we are hanging out or not. I decide to look cute in case. I call him when I’m at his house and he comes out, wearing his glasses and looking sleepy. I know he had been in NY for a 24 hour whirlwind trip for the weekend. He comes out to the car, hands me my pass and says thanks. I ask what he’s up to and he explains that he is on his way to Bible study, to meet some “cool people, ya know?”
I sat there stunned. No, I don’t know. Your cool peeps are right here. I’m fine if you want to go to Bible study but what are you trying to say here? I know we’re in the South but damn boy, you’re from New Jersey.
This reality is not the fantasy I pictured. Stay tuned for the next episode with Ansh.
