Is that why Australia and GB are first and third on the list of the most Most Violent…

It took me a while, Gxorlando, to find your source for your claim that Australia is the number 1 most violent industrialized nation. I eventually found it, and it was quite interesting.

It first points out that “violent crime rates often include crimes in which no injury is inflicted, only the threat of injury. In addition, many crimes result in multiple charges, resulting in rate inflation. Or deflation, when the police are encouraged or ordered to minimize the number of crimes reported,” and goes on the say, “I should also make clear that violent crime rates are dependent on victims willingness to report crime, and to the authorities willingness to admit crimes.” It’s quite a broad brush, isn’t it?

So in an argument that specifically despairs about what (if anything) the US could do to curb the tide of innocent, prone black men being shot by police at point blank range, you have cherry-picked “facts” that shows my country, working actively to decrease gun deaths, is more “violent.”

Speaking of cherry picking, this so-called “evidence” of your comes from the site, Extrano’s Alley, more than a gun blog, whose subtitle is: The history of gun control is perfectly clear. Gun control enables killers. Well, now you’ve convinced me! How could such a site have any bias or agenda?

I’m really sorry that instead of being disturbed or moved to any sort of action on reducing your specifically gun-related death toll, you — like so many decent gun owners in the US — are more interested in denying there is a problem.

I pray that the horrors I see on the nightly news in all countries, not just yours, can be addressed by influencial people who can get above partisan politics and skewed data.
