Great effort in outlining many of the factors that envelope not only Syria but also many of the nations that were carved out of the middle east with seemingly indiscriminate borders.
It is certainly a complex topic which deserves much more attention than it gets from many news sources who attempt to paint it with too broad a brush.
My one issue with this article is the small (and petty) attempt to cast doubt on the existing administration when there have been so many known bungled dealings with Syria in particular and the middle east as a whole by prior administrations.
I am not saying that it is untrue, but the portrayal mars what otherwise seems to be a well thought out explanation of complexities with a petty, unsubstantiated display of character assassination.
